Our First Ever Guest Lecturer - Year 12
St Michael's invited for the first time to its yearly Year 12 lectures season, its first ever guest speaker, Mr Edmund Cavendish, Head of Academic Scholarship and Teacher of Humanities at Eltham College in London.
Mr Cavendish offered on the 6th March an outstanding lecture on the Modernist Movement.
Nehansa, a Y12 student attending the lecture praised its impact and relevance: "Mr Cavendish's lecture intrigued me as I often closely associated modernism with literature, however, during his talk I discovered that the modernist movement stretched to much wider areas such as physics and science. One thing I found really helpful was how I was subconsciously making links to what I study in my lessons across all subjects".
A collaboration to continue!
