Year 13 physicists

Before Easter, year 13 physicists enjoyed a short trip to learn about particle accelerators at Cern in Geneva. They experienced a tour of the Cern Control Centre, a workshop making a cloud chamber and explored the brand new interactive visitor centre. The highlight of the visit was a talk and lunch with Kate Kahle (nee Bradshaw) a St Michael's past student (SMOGG) who has worked as Science Communication Manager at Cern for over 20 years.
