First St Michael's Debate Competition a Huge Success!

48 students from years 7 - 10 and 20 sixth form judges participated in the first internal St Michael's Debate Competition on Monday 9th June. 

16 debates took place over a period of two hours, resulting in the top two teams facing each other in a Grand Final in the library, with participation from all previous contestants and members of staff during the infamous Floor Debate section of proceedings. 

All students rose to the challenge magnificently, and the final winners were Nualla , Niamh and Maeve  from

Y9 , with Alana  from Y10 winning an additional prize as Most Outstanding Debater.
